Financial Literacy Programme by SBI Gram Seva

:As part of the SBI Gram Seva Programme implemented in 5 adopted villages by ANMA Integrated Development Association (AIDA), Don Bosco, under the Chumoukedima Sub- Division of Dimapur District, namely, Khriezephe, Diezephe, Tsithrongse, Bade and Urra village conducted Financial Literacy Programme in collaboration with State Bank of India, Dimapur supported by NABARD on 12th February, 2021. Financial Literacy Programme was conducted separately in respective villages and the total participants were 220. The theme was based on timely repayment and credit score, borrowing from formal institutions and responsible borrowing. Mr. Tholi Paul, Lead District Manager at SBI Regional Business Office, Mr. Novin Basumatary, Director of SBI- RSETI, Mr. Aveo Khusoh, CSP Singrijan and Mr. Chonben Shitio, CSP Urra village were present for the Programme.

Mr. Tholi Paul and Mr. Novin Basumatary emphasised on PM social Security Schemes such as PM Jan Dhan Yojana, PM Suraksha Bima Yojana, PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and others such as Atal Pension Yojana, PM Mudra Yojana Loan, Kisan Credit Card and supports provided by NABARD for FPO and SHGs. Awareness was also made on personal account security from frauds which are massive in today’s context. The doubts and queries of villagers with regard to financial matters, online banking and bank accounts were cleared during the open interaction hour in all the five villages respectively. Consent life insurance forms were also distributed which will be collected soon by AIDA staff and submitted to the LDM for further mechanism. Opening of zero bank accounts of the interested candidates will be done through nearby CSP at the earliest to ensure that every eligible candidate in the villages have bank accounts.
