ANMA Integrated Development Association (AIDA) celebrated India's 78th Independence Day and a tree plantation drive was carried out under SBI tree plantation drive – “Plant for mother” in Virazouma village, one of its ten project villages. The event was graced by the presence of Mr David Naulak, Chief Manager of SBI's main branch in Dimapur. The celebration highlighted the importance of environmental sustainability and community participation, with active involvement from 46 participants, including the village GB, council members, the women's society, youth and student union office bearers, as well as both current and newly selected project beneficiaries.

Project Manager Lanthou Mark Gonmei extended his greetings and welcomed everyone on behalf of SBIF and AIDA. He expressed his gratitude to both organizations for providing a platform for the participants to gather and celebrate this significant occasion. He mentioned, "Our SBI Gram Saksham project supports 10 villages with 150 women beneficiaries and 330 piglets. By the end of the project, we aim to reach a total of 300 beneficiaries and 600 pigs/piglets. I believe this initiative has empowered individuals, which will in turn strengthen the community and the country as a whole."

The special guest acknowledged the efforts of the SBI project team, the village chairman, and all the leaders. He also shared valuable insights into the available bank schemes, particularly the PM-SBI scheme, which offers a Rs. 2 lakh insurance cover for just Rs. 20 per year. He emphasized the benefits of this scheme and urged everyone to take advantage of it. He also commended AIDA's on-going efforts to improve the livelihoods of rural communities through sustainable initiatives.

In his message the village chairman thanked the AIDA-SBIF staff for their support and for enhancing the community’s livelihood through various initiatives apart from pig rearing activity, like cleanliness drives and tree plantation drives. He encouraged the community to collaborate with the team and take full advantage of the opportunities provided. He urged everyone to stay informed and fulfil their responsibilities, emphasizing the importance of cooperation to ensure the success of the project and the potential for future development. He reminded the community of their fortune in being one of the 10 selected project villages and encouraged everyone to work together.
