SBI Gram Seva Program Celebrates International Women’s Day in Namsai March 8, 2025 – The SBI Gram Seva Program, implemented by Anma Integrated Development Association (AIDA), successfully organized an International Women’s Day celebration at Piyong Circle, Namsai. The event was dedicated to recognizing and appreciating the contributions of women in society while promoting women’s empowerment across multiple sectors. The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from 50 women representing the five adopted villages under the initiative—Adi Ningroo, Ningroo Charali, Nampong, Piyong Singpho, and Piyong Khamti. The occasion was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including: Ms. Nang Tripani Manlong, Agriculture Development Officer (ADO), Namsai, Dr. Shivita Manchekhun, Primary Health Center (PHC) Piyong, Gram Panchayat Chairperson from Adi Ningroo village Addressing the gathering, the Gram Panchayat Chairperson from Adi Ningroo village emphasized the importance of women’s empowerment and acknowledged the remarkable achievements of women in various fields. She encouraged greater female participation in community development initiatives. Ms. Nang Tripani Manlong and Dr. Shivita Manchekhun shared valuable insights on the pivotal roles women play in agriculture and healthcare. They highlighted several government initiatives designed to support women and urged them to leverage available welfare schemes for their socio-economic advancement.
