Workshop on Fieldwork Practicum in Social Work for MSW and BSW Students

DSC05079 A two-day workshop on Fieldwork Practicum in Social Work was held for students of Masters in Social Work (MSW) and Bachelors in Social Work (BSW) at AIDA in collaboration with School of Social Work (SOSW), New Delhi and IGNOU Regional Centre, Kohima. The resource persons were Dr. Saumya and Dr. Rose Nembiakkim from SOSW, New Delhi. On the first day the resource persons interacted with Academic Counsellors on the importance and guidelines of academic counselling and role and tasks of field work supervisor.
On the second day the session was conducted for the students along with the academic counsellors. All together 21 students attended the workshop. The resource persons shared the guidelines for social work journal, issues and challenges of fieldwork in ODL and guidelines for learners. The students interacted with resource persons on issues and challenges relating to field work. At the end of the programme the students were given the certificate of participation. Mr. Ato Tetso, Section Officer, Regional Centre, IGNOU delivered the vote of thanks.
